With a pedigree spanning more than 30 years our client are a global multination with 20000 employees and annual revenues in excess of 15b. In line with the continued growth of the business an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Contracts Manager.


The Role


The successful candidate will manage a project contracts team to ensure all contractual and commercial elements of projects are managed efficiently maximizing income opportunities from variations and minimizing potential risk.


With a strong attention to detail the incumbent will lead the efficient production of all contractual agreements ensuring the requirements of our client and their stakeholders are met. This will also include the development of appropriate processes to identify and capture potential variations and initiate corrective actions.


The Contracts Manager will lead all communication of variations leading negotiations and submitting commercial claims ensuring all parties are kept informed of potential variations andor claim. Equally where counter claims are made the Contracts Manager will ensure a thorough and effective defence is produced.


This position plays a critical role in managing project profitability coordinating the invoicing processes associated with the project plans as well as managing subcontractor costs. The role also requires the ongoing evaluation of subcontractors providing constructive feedback working in partnership to develop positive relationships and ensure the highest standards of excellence are achieved.


Using management reporting tools and internal systems the Contracts Manager will lead the communication and flow of information across key internal and external stakeholders to guarantee all parties are informed at critical project gateways. They will also lead by example in terms of the implementation and adherence to QHSE principles practice and policy.


The Candidate


With a proven track record of success leading a contracts project team in an offshore EPIC environment the successful candidate will be able to show experience managing large scale variations and claims management in complex contractual frameworks.


Demonstrating a pedigree in end to end project management having managed large value EPC assignments in North Sea Caspian andor APAC regions applicants will be strong leaders able to lead relationships with demanding customers and subcontractors alike. As such the role requires individuals with outstanding communication and leadership skills.


Fluency in English is mandatory and candidates will possess the relevant level of engineering or related degree education with evidence of continued professional development. This role is based in the UAE with significant travel to Europe and attracts an expatriate remuneration package.
