Job purpose amp Scope
- The position is responsible to provide technical expertise on all engineering subject matter pertaining to Mechanical Engineer ndash Rotating and design including layout component selectionapplication materials and stress analysis to assure quality of Rotating EquipmentRotating Consultant's design activities and optimization while complying with COMPANYrsquos International Standards codes and practices.

Principal Accountabilities
- Prepares scope of work for external consultants and EPC contractors.
- Reviews the design works and studies performed by the Engineering Consultants and ensure that they are in accordance with the technical requirements and meet the standards.
- Reviews and approves drawings specifications and technical documents for all Rotating equipment engineering related works.
- Participates in the technical evaluation of tenders and issuance of recommendations.
- Provides technical guidance to develop new specifications and updates existing specifications.
- Performs calculations for design validation and optimization.
- Participates in Layout Design 3D Model HAZID PHA reviews and technical workshops
- Monitors the performance of engineering contractorsconsultants amp provide necessary design inputs and follows up during the execution of the basic and detailed engineering.
- Ensures that the stateofart technology is applied throughout the engineering phase for cost effective solutions and application of value added engineering throughout the assigned works.
- Participates in the prequalification of engineering consultantsvendors and review the bidders list.
- Provides inputupdate Engineering Procedures Company standards Technical Specifications Design Philosophies and Engineering Guidelines.
- Participates in site surveys of Company facilities to establish and identify actual requirements.
- Provides technical assistance coordination and liaison with other discipline engineers within the Company and other business units to acquire technical and general requirements
- Reviews Design Basis Philosophies and Specifications related to Mechanical Engineering Rotating.
- Conducts technical evaluation for selection of Engineering Consultants.
- Carries out design calculations as a tool for design checks.
- Witnessrsquos performance tests including FAT and SAT for acceptance or rejection of equipment based on Company requirements specifications and standard.
- Prepares Business Case for projects.
- Participates in technical audits on Consultant Engineer Contractor Vendor Offices during prequalification and to evaluate their performance during project execution.
Organizational Relationships Work Contacts
- Provides support to Project Managers and Engineers within the FIELD Offshore Projects Engineering Team. Interfaces with Project Managers and Engineers in Company's Technical Departments Business Units Operations Units and Logistics Department.
- Interfaces regularly with Contractor's Engineering and Project Management Team whenever required.
- Responsible for influencing coordinating and managing all Rotating Equipment Engineering activities.
Independence of Operations and Decisionmaking Authority
- Performs duties in accordance with Engineering Managerrsquos directives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelorsrsquo in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 15 yearsrsquo of relevant experience in design of various rotating equipment packages in Oil amp Gas Industry.
- Excellent knowledge and skill of relevant international codes and standards.
- Very good knowledge of English.
- Computer literate.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
