CH2M HILL Geologist Dammam Saudi Arabia



Job Purpose

The role is for a Geologist and will assist in overseeing the construction of the wells and associated testing of soil.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitoring and inspection of construction work in accordance with quality requirements


• Monitoring and inspection of construction Civil work in accordance with quality requirements.


• Experience in reviewing shop drawings and vendors' submittals.


• Assist in preparation of daily weekly and monthly progress reports


• Daily field supervision on actual execution of works according to drawings and specifications.


• Carry out scheduled inspections to ensure that works are constructed in accordance with the contract documentation and method statements


• Liaison with the contractor on all construction related matters


• Maintain photo and written diaries to record daily works
  
  Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of science from recognized university
  
  
  • Practical experience of no less than 10 years in the field of supervision of the ground excavation works and full omniscience of the works of wells.
  
  
  • At least the last three years of the period of experience shall be in similar projects.
  
  
  • English
  
  
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills and good presentation skills in English.
  
  
  • Written and spoken Arabic skills are beneficial but not essential.
  
  
  • Be enthusiastic about improving the safety performance of site operations.
  
  
  • Be able to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives
