Duties and Responsibilities


You will provide support to the piping and equipment layout design relevant to the assigned unit or area. Review piping general arrangements and piping isometrics relevant to the assigned unit or area. Manage piping isometrics in the reference PampIDs. Perform data consistency check for 3D models. Support design for the relevant unit or area in coordination with the Pipe Stress Engineer. Provide piping and bulk material takeoffs and bill of materials documents. Oversee piping and layout design specifications and construction standards.


The Pipe Stress Engineerrsquos function on a typical project includes


Specifications for stress analysis piping critical line list piping support specificationstandards. Selection of applicable pipe supports review of hydraulics and stress calculations material specifications and data sheets NMR and review vendor drawings review of IFC design packages in accordance with approved company standards review and analysis of proponents on pipeline operations problems such as isolation and leaks repairs and review of applicable standards codes and specifications and incorporate them in job specifications. Review job safety specifications for pipelines operation and project tiein and isolation requirements. Review job specifications for piping fabrication inspection and testing and hydro test commissioning and startup procedures for new and exiting pipelines.
