Perform responsible professional duties to plan, organize and manage the GIS Division of the Town Planning& Survey Department.
Provide a common source of related services, standards for, coordination among, and support to GIS customers in the City.
Supervise staff that collect and maintain the utilities, facilities, thematic mapping and geo-spatial land data base and produce requested products and services.
Provide strategic planning and budget preparation for GIS.
Oversee all enterprise GIS operations including database management and administration, data development, system administration, technical consulting, marketing and training.
Manage Information Services department GIS staff.
Negotiate consulting and service contracts, ensuring terms are met.
Coordinate and lead GIS initiatives with external agencies, adjacent jurisdictions and the state.
Manage enterprise GIS committees at the technical and management level. Manage Enterprise GIS projects and work programs by planning, prioritizing, scheduling and providing leadership to team members.
Design and implement enterprise GIS standards.
Integrate GIS with the City’s emerging preparedness and public safety functions. Respond to public information requests, and develop public information policies and procedures.
