!!Senior Engineer – Mechanical AgenbspRead Pride Real AdvantagenbspThe role ofSenior Engineer – Mechanical Age is based at Dhahran.nbspnbspRole DescriptionnbspResponsible to the In Service Team leader providing nbspday to day support on Metrology and Calibration MetCal matters in respect of Test Measurement amp Diagnostic Equipment TMDE supplied under the Saudi British Defence Cooperation Programme and in respect of MetCal Standards where BAE Systems are the source of repair.Provide a primary point of contact for MetCal technical issues.Provide a primary point of contact for the twice yearly RSAF MetCal Review Meetings MRM.Coordinate MetCal across severl functions ensuring resolution of issues is to the satisfaction of both BAE Systems andnbsp the RSAFnbspnbspActivities CoverednbspMaintain a close working relationship with the RSAF MODSAP MetCal Operations Manager MetCal Engineering MetCal Primary Calibration Squadron HQ RSAF MetCal Advisor and other BAE Systems functions.Act as the main point of contact for the preparation of the presentation for the twice yearly MetCal Review Meeting MRM.Monitor and progress MRM actions and provide adviceassistance to the assigned action owner to ensure responses interim or final are submitted in a timely manner.Ensure assigned TRACE letters are responded to in a timely manner.Assist other functions in preparing responses to MetCal related TRACE letters.Maintain a register of Special Calibration Instructions SCI issued by MetCal Primary Calibration Squadron PCS.Review SCIs received from MetCal PCS and resolve any queries received from vendors either directly or via BAEnbspSystems UK.Maintain a register of MetCal Technical Queries and resolve queries received.Monitor the MICAP database for MetCal related orders and keep MetCal staffs advised as necessary.Provide advice to LOA7 JLF supply staffs on MetCal related queries.Maintain a register of calibration documentation non‑conformance reports and monitor progress through to resolution.Assist other functions involved in the investigation and resolution of reported calibration documentation non‑conformances.Act as the main point of contact for UK queries on MetCal matters.Assist in the preparation of Statements of Work SoW in respect of calibration requirements.nbspResolve issues that fall outside normal technical processes and procedures through innovative and creative thinkingnbspSkills Qualifications and ExperiencenbspnbspBe educated to HND or equivalent level in a technical discipline.Must be able to demonstrate the ability to apply his technical knowledge and expertise to analyse select apply and review the optimal course of action to take in order to resolve inservice issues.It is essential that the job holder is self‑motivated and capable of applying his knowledge and experience efficiently and without the need to rely on others.Be able to converse coherently with senior management and RSAF officers Have experience of preparing and presenting presentations at a senior level An extensive experience in the field of Metrology and Calibration or other engineering discipline.A good understanding of international standards and requirements associated with Metrology and Calibration.A good understanding of terminology associated with Metrology and Calibration.A sound knowledge of RSAF and Company processes and procedures.Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language.Computer literate with a sound working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs particularly Word Excel and PowerPoint.nbspEXPATRIATE EMPLOYEE BENEFITSnbspIn return for the required high levels of commitment and hard work you will receive a competitive salary rent free accommodation food allowance and access to free recreation facilities all available within Company secured accommodation.
