• Data Collection
o Construct data accumulation systems for a cost accounting system
o Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems
• Inventory
o Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts
o Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues
o Update standard costs in the bill of materials
o Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
o Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close
o Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles
o Work with the materials review board to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory
• Analysis
o Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses
o Report on breakeven points by products, work centers, and factories
o Report on margins by product and division
o Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances
o Analyze capital budgeting requests
o Perform cost accumulation tasks as a member of the target costing group
• Construct data accumulation systems for a cost accounting system

• Research and collect data to determine COGM, including but not limited to raw materials packaging and labor and overhead costs.
• Research changes in production methods and activities, formulations, raw materials changes, to determine impact on GOGM.
• Prepares mock cost analysis of new products.
• Bill of material master data maintenance
• Labor routes data maintenance
• Prepares and distributes weekly manufacturing variance reports to assist Operations Management.
o Perform analysis of actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic (daily, weekly and Monthly) report of standard costs to actual production costs.
o Prepare and distribute Operations Management with Operations reports outlining and comparing factors impacting standard costs.

Labor utilization
• Compile data to prepare recurring M/E journal entries for manufacturing activities.
• Perform product line studies, including waste factors.
• Conduct F/G BOM’s audits to insure BOM’s and R&D finished goods formulas; packaging and labor are in synchronicity.
• Thorough knowledge of inventory management process/controls.
• Management of cycle count process
• Participates in the preparation of annual Manufacturing Budget.

o Setup and maintain perpetual inventory records / controls

o Setup and maintain program tracking to the Customer / SKU level
• Variance Analysis
o Track and analyze variances on a Job Cost Basis
o Throughput; Yields; PPV, etc.
o Analyze P&L variances using a Volume / Rate / Mix approach
• Tracking action plans for SKU / Customer Rationalization
• Maintain Customer and Item Master Files
• Flexibility to coordinate special projects and assignments as needed.
• Manufacturing costing, process costing, and inventory
• Manage inventory including standard cost, quarterly Physical Process.
• Follow Up of the implementation of KPIs, analyzing trend, variation and variance against target.
• Plans study and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
• Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
• Analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports.
• Assist with Month-end close and general ledger work.
