Project Manager

To interpret end-users’ technical requirements; to recommend the best solution to meet their requirements: to prepare fiscally-sound contracts that meet all legal requirements and that are compliant with QF policies and procedures; and to manage projects through to completion.
Key Result Areas:
 Own the entire scope of work and manage client relationship
 Set clear goals and objectives for each member of the project team and ensure open dialogue throughout the duration of the project
 Determine the sequence of activities, dependencies, required or desired outcomes, and acceptable performance levels
 Identify key contacts and establish timelines for making any necessary contract decisions or modifications
 Ensure that work is completed on time and within budget
 Undertake new initiatives to improve work, review work progress and recommend remedial action
 Review and approve the tendering and contracting strategy to ensure the best value for the organization, following best practices and considering innovative ideas
 Manage performance according to SLAs and KPIs, and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
 Undertake regular benchmarking and alternative service modeling activities
 Drive process and contract efficiencies for the allocated portfolio of contracts
 Establish and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders and contractors. Manage contract inquiries, issues, disputes, variations, and risks. Negotiate with contractors as required
 Lead by example, setting exceptional standards of safety, quality and customer service
 Assign responsibilities, take corrective action, demonstrate leadership and motivate, develop, and evaluate staff
 Develop effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among the various participants
 Develop and manage a portfolio of contracts and tenders that reflect customers’ needs and take into account legislation, H&S, fraud prevention, sustainability and workforce issues
 Participate in the technical and un-priced commercial evaluation of tenders and then lead the subsequent priced commercial evaluation of technically acceptable offers that include professional adjustment factors depending on the nature of the job and tender
 Liaise with the Legal and Finance departments in relation to legal and commercial requirements
 Study various options and prepare a negotiation strategy, and participate in negotiations
 Review and advise on price variations, extensions and amendments based on the merits of each case and the best interests of QF
 Enforce QF health, safety, and environment policies, procedures, legal regulations and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility to ensure that work is performed in a safe, healthy and
environmentally-sound manner
