About Your Job:
The Fire system technician will provide support to the Fire Safety Officer as well as the maintenance team to ensure continuity in functioning of Fire Detection system as well as Fire Protection systems in all buildings of Qatar Airways.
The role includes carrying out repairs and maintenance of fire alarm and firefighting systems along with routine surveillance in QR facilities, whether owned or leased. Checking detectors, cabling, alarm panel, sprinklers, valves, fire water pumps is vital and in depth knowledge of repairs and testing of water based firefighting systems including sprinkler system, fire hydrants, FHRs and water mist system.
About You:
You should be high school qualified and have a certificate as a qualified Fire System Technician with Gulf working experience.
You should have a minimum of 5 years job relative experience, if you have any supervisory experience in any of the Facility Management teams or corporate house / hotels it would be an added advantage
You should have basic knowledge of codes and standards followed for firefighting systems within the Gulf region and are conversant with conventional as well as addressable fire alarms and FM 200 systems.
You will hold good communication skills and should have the ability to capture scope of works for improvement projects, assist in procurement process, supervise the installation and confirm the commissioning.
