| 134POSITION COMPUTER STUDIESTEACHER REPORTS TO Section Coordinator Section Principal and Assistant Directors JOB GOAL To develop in each student an insight and understanding of computer skills and its place in our society to discover and develop talents of students in the computer skills and to develop in each student skill in the safe use of computer and internet. Specific Job Description 1. Teaches knowledge and skill in computer including standard use of programs. 2. Instructs students in rules regulations and procedures of the school. 3. Provides a range of computer instruction and support appropriate to the children’s gradeage. 4. Teamteaches alongside the class teachers or act as a resource for computer integration with the classroom curriculum. 5. Develops lesson plans and organizes class time to provide a balanced program of teaching demonstration and working time. 6. Provides individual and group teaching to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual and computing abilities and to accommodate a variety of learning activities. 7. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly and productive computer lab environment. 8. Instructs students in proper care and use of computer and internet. 9. Controls use of Computers nbspto prevent abuse and avoid technology malpractice . 10. Evaluates each student’s performance and growth in knowledge and aesthetic understandings and prepare progress reports. 11. Selects and recommends books instructional materials accessories instructional aids and maintain required inventory records. 12. Provides supporttraining to classroom teachers so that they can understand and carry out computer integration with the classroom curriculum. 13. Maintains professional competence through inservice professional development activities provided by the School andor in selfselected professional growth activities. 14. Communicates with parents and school counselors on student progress. 15.
