Job Purpose amp Scope



  • The position is responsible to plan execute monitor control and execute projects as per schedules at optimal cost and quality through robust execution strategies and managing the various resources from within and external project management consultants and contractors to ensure successful technical economical and commercial project delivery Within The limits of high standard of safety value and controls during the various stages of project implementation.

    Principal Accountabilities



    • Devises plans and controls all Initial Project activities.

    • Leads guides motivates and monitors performance of the team to ensure effective meeting of set KPI targets for the project.

    • Leads actively and directs Company Project Team PMC to ensure that assigned projects meet their objectives.

    • Analyzes Project Execution and Contracting Strategies to Develops and Implements the Project Optimum Execution Strategy to achieve project objectives successfully in line with HSE policy and assures awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.

    • Administrates the project contracts including financial expenditures throughout the project to ensure the terms and conditions stated there are fulfilled.

    • Identifies Records and manages all external and internal interfaces of the projects to ensure efficient interface management and successful completion of project activities.

    • Organize participate and in Project Risk Workshop for the projects. Ensure that Project Risk Management Plans for various projects are in place and monitor the implementation of Risk Mitigation Actions.

    • Reviews submitted variation orders and Leads COMPANY Negotiation Team to settle them and obtains approvals as per Company procedures.

    • Formalizes the project Tender Strategies in liaison with other Departments.

    • Ensures and Monitor the implementation of Safety Procedure meeting Quality Requirements and respect of Environment at all stages of the project.

    • Manages closely the progress of the projects in liaison with the Project Team to ensure that the project proceeds according to the Contract and resolve queries problems and claims that might arise. Attend the periodic progress review meetings with contractors.

    • Works in the line with Company HSE Policies ensuring during bidding that contractors have understood HSE procedures Rules and Regulations.

    • Provides input for budgets and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.

    • Provides input to plans and schedule project timelines and milestones.

    • Provides input to DSP as per VAP process.

    • Participates in COMPANYrsquos appointed PreQualifications Team. Conduct PreQualification visits and evaluate Contractors capabilities in line with the project scope.

    • Defines the required project resources and project organization Chart to ensure optimum resources are available to deliver the Portfolio of assigned Projects.

    • Mentors UAE National Developees define their training program and review their progress to expedite their integration.

    • Reports regularly to COMPANY Management and Shareholders on the projects status.

    • Leads multi disciplines team in Bids Technical Evaluation establishing the evaluation criteria and presenting the final evaluation report to Shareholders.

    • Formalizes negotiation Strategies for Single Source Projects and Lead COMPANYrsquos Negotiation Team.

    • Carries out and participate in Contractors Audits. Review the final findings and ensure that remedy actions are in place.

    • Reviews and develops Project management Inhouse Procedure to ensure that the best Project Management Practices are in place.

    • Interviews and nominates Candidates for PMT PMC key positions.

    • Establishes Lessons Learned register during project phases are analyzed and corrective measure are timely implemented for current and future projects by systematic sharing process.

      Organizational Relationships Work Contacts



      • Regular interaction and contacts with members of the GMT and EMT Operations as well as Managers from other support and Administrative units such as Facility Engineering Commercial Corporate Planning Finance and Logistics.

      • Occasional contacts with Shareholders representatives and relevant personnel from other operating companies for coordination and exchange of information.

      • Regular contacts with vendors contractors to negotiate and to evaluate work progress.

      • Leadership and management of Initial Production PMT.

        Independence of Operations and Decisionmaking Authority



        • Works independently in accordance with Company Policies and makes appropriate decisions within DOA boundaries to achieve the defined project objectives in an optimized and professional manner. Makes all decision in consultation with relevant discipline engineers and support personnel.

          Minimum Requirements



          • Bachelor degree in Engineering.

          • At least 15 years relevant work experience in oil and gas with 5 in Managerial capacity.

          • Basic experience in International Codes and Standards related to Oil and Gas Industry.

          • Experience in various aspects of project management and execution. Knowledge of project management systems and oil amp gas industry standards.

          • Understanding of commercial terms HSE requirements and various engineering aspects. Strong planning leadership and time management skills.

          • Computer amp Project Management Software Techniques.
