COST ENGINEER PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO VISA RESTRICTIONS WE CAN ONLY CONSIDER NATIONALS FROM THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES WHO HOLD CIVIL INDUSTRIAL OR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEGREES INDIA PAKISTAN PHILIPPINES EGYPT UK Under general supervision the individual competently performs all aspects of project control function including estimating cost control and scheduling for assigned areas of the project. Duties may include monitoring job progress according to schedules identifying scope changes developing and issuing project variances trending and analysis of expenditures and completion reports and actively participates in the forecast process. At this level the individual may provide some technical guidance but not administrative supervision over less experienced personnel. Incumbent maybe required to travel on short term assignments to assist other project site offices on an as required basis. SCOPE Ensure costs and commitments are recorded in accordance with the project Code of Accounts Maintain forecast at completion costs for an assigned area of the project Identify and report potential cost trends and scope changes and recommend possible alternatives Process contractor progress payment certificates Analyse contractor cost and time claims for extra works and Review and maintain schedule and progress data provided by construction contractors Update and maintain contract progress reports Identify register and report on project critical items Identify and report potential schedule interdependency problems and recommend alternatives Provide input to project Monthly Reports as required Operate and maintain cost and time data base computer systems BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITY No direct responsibility for management of internal functional budgets RELATIONSHIPS AUTHORITY Directly reports to the AF Manager for scope of services and technical matters Matrix managers include the Project Commercial Manager and Project Manager. No direct supervision of technical staff required May supervise more junior staff
