Training Advisor

Job Description


Petrolio are currently recruiting for a Training Advisor for our client who are a major international oil and gas exploration development and production company.


This is based in Dubai and is paying 30000 AED per month

      • Perform training need analysis review employees appraisals and perform regular meetings with employees and line managers in order to be able to identify training and development needs




      • Handel DHL and DOTL Expat training plans




      • Prepare a yearly training plan based on the training need analysis




      • Research and locate a 3rd party training companies to deliver required training programmes




      • Review and analyse course contents sent from training vendors and decide on whether these courses are beneficial and cost effective or not




      • Recommend training courses to line masnaages and encourage them to nominate their staff to attend




      • Consider training courses costs and assure its within training budgets and asses the return on investment




      • Acquire multiple proposals for each required training course




      • Perform proposals comparison regarding price contents and durations locate the most appropriate and cost effective course




      • Evaluate training and development programmes




      • Process training requests forms and acquire necessary approvals




      • Handle course booking and registrations with training vendors




      • Coordinate payment process create Purchase Requisition in GP for HR staff and DOTL expat follow up with other departments to create purchase requisitions for their staff




      • Follow up with CampP department on processing of Purchase Orders upon approval of Purchase Requestions




      • Receive training courses invoices and follow up on payments




      • Facilitate and plan and organize trainings by a vendor and arranging the venue as well as accommodation hotel booking and visa arrangements in case of overseas training courses




      • Prior to any training course make sure employees have full details regarding course contents venue and schedule




      • Maintain a training record Excel sheet




      • Review training budghets on regular basis and align the training needs to the budget




      • Offer guidance and support to staff undergoing training




      • Maintain a filing system for all related training courses documentation




      • Keep up to date with development in training by reading journals going to meetings and attending relevant courses




      • Prepare individual development plans for high potential employees




      • Prepare individual development plans for new joiners




      • Follow up on the IDPs progress through weekly reporting and employees feedback




      • Arrange post training assessment questionnaire to be answered by employees base course future recommendation based on these assesments




      • Maintain a record sheet for ll obligatory technical certifications for field employees make sure all technical employees are certificated to match job requirements




      • Maintain and update training vendorsrsquo list




      • In case of having to deal with a new vendor perform a good research and contact possible references for recommendations




      • Request Vendor forms to be filled and approved by new vendors and coordinate with finance department to add vendor details in GP




      • Meeting quarterly target of training programmes and number of employees trained




      • Handle staff equests for training in a dimlomatic manner to avoid any frustration caused by multiple rejected training requests




      • Maintain a proper filing system for soft copies and hard copies of all training related documents like approved training forms training vendors invoices and any related correspondents




      • Manage and facilitate mulitple training courses ongoing at the same time




      • Being able to balance between training needs work requirements and employees expectations regarding career development and training development




      • Prepare Quarterly training reports for management



        Knowledge Skills and Experience




        • Degree in relevant field




        • Previous workrelated skill knowledge or experience is required for HR Officerrsquos job

        • Ability to present information in clear manner




        • Consistency with process daily tasks
