General Summary
This position oversees the team of Construction Management Professionals and Support levels in project program construction activities. This position contributes to the organization by leading the delivery of construction projects or the construction portion of an EPC project for the firm's external clients. The incumbent is responsible for delivery of a significant part of a large construction project. Technical Financial Strategic Team and Client External Stakeholder Levels of Complexity are typically average with some aspects of higher complexity evident. This role has a demonstrated understanding and application of the knowledge and skill competencies required of a construction manager mastery of individual competencies becoming evident in selected areas a demonstrated understanding and application of the BDPD process and is familiar with most of the technologies and delivery methods underpinning the project solution to be delivered. He she understands how projects impact the BG's and firm's performance. This position provides motivation and direction to the project teams typically through multiple construction engineers quality supervisors and inspectors and safety officers. Decisions have an impact on the resource requirements scopeschedulesequence of project activities client andor team satisfaction risk profile quality healthsafetyenvironment and financial performance of one or more projects.Essential duties and responsibilities
- Has demonstrated the capability to manage multiple midsized construction projects of average complexity.
- Acts as one of the company's prime contacts with the client and is responsible for overall construction work progress and technical performance on the project.
- Works closely with project delivery leadership and construction management who provide oversight and mentoring.
- Supports the development of less experienced construction personnel through active coaching and mentoring.
- Specific duties include
- Leads and manages the construction project team through site mobilization execution and demobilization activities consistent with established project delivery processes to ensure the orderly efficient and timely completion of the project scope in accordance with requirements specified in the contract documents.
- Onsite activities may include construction supervision field administration procurement and field engineering.
- Completes the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client while simultaneously ensuring that CH2M HILL's HSE quality financial risk management business and policy expectations are met.Basic QualificationsSpecific desirable attributes
- Experience in rectification and conversion of residential and commercial buildings from design through handover
Contractual requirements
- Minimum years of experience 15
- Has experience in the building industry or similar industry and has project engineering experience on mega projects.
- Coordinates with engineering discipline lead engineers to ensure ontime completion of work activities and the implementation of project control procedures.
- Reviews and closely monitors project schedule and costs.
