Mobile Media Analyst - Product Development - AL JAZEERA NETWORK

Position Summary:



As a Mobile Media Analyst you will work as part of the Innovation team who are responsible for implementation of Al Jazeera’s Digital Product strategy across the media Network. Although there will be a focus on mobile, the team will be digital products focused and work to implement a strategy that spans multiple products (web, mobile, gaming consoles) etc.



Responsibilities



• Manage projects for the design and implementation of mobile/tablet applications, websites and other digital products.

• Gather requirements from channels and liaising with stakeholders within the network.

• Communicate with internal developers, external vendors to interpret requirements.

• Assist in managing a portfolio of digital products and roadmap for the network.

• Implement tools for mobile reporting including training and support.

• Conduct training presentations to staff on new mobile services and tools.

• Research for latest trends in mobile and web technologies for relevant future projects.

• Contribute actively to brainstorming new ideas and execute them from beginning to end.

• Handle administrative responsibilities associated with projects

The Role:



The incumbent will have the overall responsibility in the development and maintenance of a fit-for-purpose controls, governance, risk & assurance framework for Finance activities, monitoring and reporting all assurance activities.







Responsibilities:



•Support the Finance Controller in contributing to the achievement of the company vision by taking initiatives in improving company risk management, general business assurance including governance structures and financial controls.

•Assist the Finance Controller in meeting set targets and objectives of the company Finance function.

•Work closely with business to develop, appraise and keep up-to-date a robust Business Controls framework that is fit for purpose and cost effective and in accordance with policies, guidelines and procedures

•Subject matter expert and the key Focal Point for Controls Framework documents and the related Finance procedure; their maintenance, clarification and periodic challenge and review, to ensure continued alignment with the evolving organization

SENIOR BUYER



As a Senior Buyer you will perform various duties related to the procurement of critical Engineering and Operations materials, equipment and spare parts in a cost effective/ethical manner considering price, service, quality, inventory positions and operations requirements in accordance with the company procedures. Accountable and be able to deliver commitments, establish priorities and develop critical tasks, engender trust, create free flow of information, practice creativity, innovation and continuous improvement.



• Liaising with user departments to identify critical requirements and provide advice on procurement regarding equipment and materials.



• Ensure timely delivery of material through forward planning, by gaining knowledge of lead time, market conditions and expediting



• Participates in the purchasing activities of the Company, effectively interact with several internal and external customers



• This includes research into potential suppliers, market prices, manufacturing lead times and provides market expertise to assigned material commodities



• Negotiate commercial Terms & Conditions and prices with vendors to safe guard company’s interest



• Resolve disputes arising with Suppliers concerning quality, price and delivery



• Value analysis for overall improvement of the purchasing efficiency



• Continuous review and updating of Purchasing Procedures and documents.



• Identify possible sources of supply for requisition/stock inventory Orders / Agreements etc.
