Job Purpose :The Project Manager is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting and control while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Principal Accountabilities:
•Brings optimum utilization of resources, labor and materials and ensures their procurement.
•Ensures that appropriate information flows smoothly among key stakeholders.
•Oversees the construction project from start to finish.
•Develops the objectives/goals of each and assign team member responsibilities.
•Develops and maintains client relationships.
•Handles multiple tasks.
•Coordinates with procurement department to ensure the final delivery of equipment/goods to site.
•Implements company policies and procedures.
•Maintains strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
•Manages the budgets, tracks expenses and minimizes exposure and risk in the project.
•Coordinates the efforts of all parties involved in the project.
•Reviews and evaluates plans, sets performance requirements.
•Performs a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
•Ensures project documentation is well maintained and easily accessible.
•Identifies changes in scope to secure appropriate change orders.
•Ensures that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule
•Monitors the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and holds regular status meetings.
•Monitors productivity to ensure maximum time and cost efficiency of the Site labor force.
•Prepares periodic status reports, including updated cost and planning forecasts.
Communications and Working Relationships
•Ability to manage a team and resolve disputes.
•Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
•Coordination and cooperation with colleagues and other departments.
•Adequately represent the company.
•Ability to motivate team members.
•Communicates effectively with sub-contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
