Job Summary The Technology Architect shall assist in defining the bank's future technology strategy and to ensure that this fits with the wider IT Strategy. The technical architect must ensure that the relevant IT infrastructure technologies meet both functional and nonfunctional requirements and ensure that the design is of a high quality and value from implementation amp operation as well as Return On Investment ROI prospectives. Future Technology Design Responsibilities To oversee govern and coordinate effectively between internal technical design team To be the internal Quality Assurance arm To consolidate all the IT infrastructure design components Network Storage Servers etc. together and make sure to achieve a full integration between those layers To be as a single point of contact with the external design QA company To maintain and keep all the technology design documents uptodate To attend all the relevant technical meetings and discussions internally and externally. Required knowledge skills and experience Project Management Experience PMP or Prince 2 Certification Hands on delivery on one or more of Data Center IT infrastructure technologies eg Network Storage Servers etc. Extensive proven experience 10 years in specifying developing and deploying IT architectures and infrastructure for enterprise multitiered applications preferably banking environment Experience in defining and developing highvolume amp scalable architectures Experience in defining developing integrating and leveraging very large Data Center Solutions and a thorough understanding of different banking technologies is required Experience of working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams A broad knowledge of existing and emerging Data Center technologies and their potential to enhance the performance and robustness of a technical architecture Ability to think strategically and evaluate options in the short medium and long term Translate business and feature requirements into technical specifications Experience of communicating complex technical concepts to nontechnical business stakeholders Experience evaluating new technologies for their appropriateness to proposed solutions including assessing their strategic andor tactical benefit to the product or wider department.
