HeShe will be the technical point of reference on the development of repair technologies and certifying new procedures in the repair shop. One of hisher primary tasks is to develop technical roadmaps and approving standard planswork instructions for repair procedures.Essential Responsibilities Lead the GEMTEC RDC team to
Identify develop evaluate and introduce engineering solutions to meet near term and long range engineering needs in the area of gas turbine and generator repair for the PGS MEA region business.
Assume leadership responsibilities for the PGS MEA regional RTCoE team.
Provide technical consultation on repair techniques throughout the business including identifying developing industrializing and globalizing technology for the MEA region PGS repair shops.
Lead and provide the key technical direction to large projects with critical business impact.
Support other GE businesses internal amp external customers and suppliers as required.
Ensure the team is creating invention disclosures to protect technology that gives the business a competitive advantage as well as protecting the intellectual property rights of the company.
Participate as an approver in technical and program reviews
Mentor the MEA region teams in repair technology
Ensure RDC Special Process developments are documented in SP Documents
Substantiate service centers repair process qualifications certifications
Develop new repair process technology to assist component team in implementing repair strategy
Perform repair process technology jugular experiments in RDC's
Create repair materials process technology validation plan in conjunction with component engineers
Define industrialized process audit quality requirements and perform audits of global service centers for adherence to best practices process requirements
Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and proceduresQualificationsRequirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Materials Science Manufacturing Engineering or similar
Experience in manufacturing or repair of industrial gas turbine components
Strong materials background
Familiarity with manufacturing processes
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to document plan market and manage programs that further the knowledge understanding and capability of the business
Ability to travel within MEA region and globally when neededAdditional Eligibility Qualifications Desired Characteristics
Fluency in Arabic
5 year Experience leading diverse multinational teams
Good working knowledge about Turbo machinery component design and repair
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong technical aptitude including applicable engineering tools and systems
