To support our expanding operations in the Middle East, we wish to appoint a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team as an Associate/ Principal Engineer. Working as part of our multi-disciplinary team in Doha, you will lead the engineering design on and the commercial management of projects across the region, whilst contributing to the management of relationships with our clients and the supervision and development of less experienced staff.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:-
• Management of engineering designs in accordance with the client's brief and project requirements;
• Review of designs produced by more junior staff, and the provision of feedback;
• Management and co-ordination of resource for projects;
• Commercial management and control of projects, including monitoring financial performance against budget and completion of "month-end" project management processes;
• Ensuring compliance with project management, QA, environmental and health and safety procedures, personally and by other team members;
• Provision of training, coaching and mentoring to more junior team members;
• Management of Work in Progress, invoicing and debt collection;
• Participation in marketing and business development activities, including attendance at internal and external events;
• Preparation of submissions and fee bids for new projects.
